About Us
Betting Not On Gamstop is an independent research site for adults in the UK who want to understand betting sites not on GamStop before they sign up to one. We explain how these sites work, what their offers really require and which protections you may lose by using them. This page sets out who we write for, how we rank sites, and where our limits are.
What this site does and who it is for
Our readers are aged 18 or over and are mostly in the UK. Some know bookmakers well. Others have never read a set of bonus terms. We try to cover both without talking down to anyone.
Our guides cover:
- sports betting sites, bookies and punters' common questions, including how odds work in fractional form (5/1 means £1 staked returns £5 profit plus your £1 stake)
- welcome bonuses, deposit bonuses, free bets, price boosts, cashback and loyalty rewards
- wagering requirements, minimum qualifying odds, maximum bonus bets, expiry dates and cashout limits
- payments and withdrawals, including debit cards, e-wallets, bank transfers and crypto, where a site actually supports them
- markets such as football, horse racing, tennis, golf, darts, snooker, cricket, esports and boxing
- mobile betting apps, live in-play betting, early cash-out, bet builders and each-way bets
Our casino-focused readers can also see our page on non GamStop casinos in the UK.
What "not on GamStop" actually means
GamStop is the national self-exclusion scheme for online gambling in Great Britain. Operators licensed by the UK Gambling Commission must take part. A site "not on GamStop" is generally licensed elsewhere, under an overseas gambling licence, and is not part of that scheme.
Two points matter here:
- Accepting British customers is not the same as being authorised to serve them. Only a UK Gambling Commission licence authorises an operator to offer gambling to people in Great Britain. We do not claim any listed site holds one.
- Protections differ. If you have registered with GamStop, a non GamStop site will not know about it. Complaint routes, dispute resolution and affordability checks may also work differently from those at a UK-licensed bookmaker.
We do not tell anyone to use these sites. If you excluded yourself to stop gambling, please read our responsible gambling page first. You can also contact GamCare on 0808 8020 133 for free, confidential support.
How we research and rank betting sites
We have not placed bets, deposited or withdrawn money at the sites we list, and we do not say we have. Our work is research and review. We read each operator's published terms, check what it advertises, and compare that with what the terms say.
- Bonus terms. We look at the headline offer alongside its wagering requirement, minimum odds, expiry, maximum bet and cashout limits.
- Payments. We look at whether GBP accounts, UK-friendly methods and fees are stated, and whether currency conversion could apply.
- Withdrawals and verification. We check whether processing times, limits and KYC or source-of-funds checks are explained clearly.
- Markets and features. We consider the range of sports, bet types, in-play betting, cash-out and mobile access.
- Support and complaints. We look at the contact options and complaints procedures that are published.
- Player protection. We note which deposit limits, loss limits and self-exclusion tools are offered.
Where something cannot be confirmed, we say so rather than guess. Advertised speeds and offers are bookmaker claims, not results we have measured.
How the ranking reads, with its limits
The ten sites on our lists are ranked by an editorial rating, which is our own score. It is not a customer-review score and says nothing about how any individual player will fare. The current top three are Tenobet (10.0), Trixino (9.9) and Betninja (9.8).
Some points to keep in mind when reading them:
- Headline offers are often large percentages. Their value depends on the terms, and some are in euros or dollars rather than pounds, so conversion costs may apply.
- A higher rating does not mean lower risk. Every site on our lists is outside GamStop, and that is a drawback in itself for some readers.
- Offers change. Our details were last checked on 1 October 2026, and you should read the live terms before depositing.
How we make money, and how we don't
Betting Not On Gamstop may earn a commission if you follow a link and register with a bookmaker. That is how the site is funded. Commission does not buy position: it does not decide rankings, and it does not stop us from stating a site's weaknesses.
What we do not do
- We do not describe any betting site as completely safe or guarantee withdrawals or winnings.
- We do not present gambling as a source of income or a way to fix money problems.
- We do not target anyone under 18.
- We do not name sites outside our supplied list.
Tell us what is wrong or missing
If you spot an out-of-date term, or have a question we have not answered, please contact us. Our terms and conditions explain how you may use this site. Gambling should stay a leisure activity, and you should only stake money you can afford to lose.
